Pro Se Adult Guardianship Help Desk at the Daley Center Courthouse and Remotely by Telephone
You can receive guardianship assistance both in person and by phone. You can also apply for a remote appointment on ILAO.
CDEL representatives assist the public in completing the necessary paperwork for filing petitions for adult guardianship of the person. The petitioners will represent themselves throughout the guardianship process but CDEL will provide guidance in completing the forms and tasks needed to be finalized for presentation of the petition to the court.
The Daley Center Help Desk is open from 9 am to 1 pm Monday -Thursday and every other Friday (when the court is in session) in CL-16 (concourse level) of the Daley Center, 50 West Washington, Chicago. No appointment is necessary. Phone appointments are also available. Please call 312-376-1880, daily from 9 am to noon to request an appointment. The only immediate help is at the Daley Center. Phone appointments are generally scheduled within a week.
