Civil Practice Areas

One component of CDEL’s mission is to provide quality legal services, pro bono, to low-income residents of Cook County who are either seniors or persons with disabilities. A small staff supports a network of over 1,000 volunteer attorneys and paralegals. In 2016, 2,887 client files were opened (exclusive of the Pro Se Adult Guardianship Help Desk), a 13% increase over 2015.
