A. Insalaco (she/they) is a Supervising Attorney at CDEL, supporting staff and volunteers working across a variety of projects and subject areas, including housing, community clinics, and estate planning.  She also helps to manage the prescreen and intake process.  Insalaco first began with CDEL as a Kott Gerontology Intern during law school and returned to CDEL as a Fellow after graduating, first with the Borchard Center on Law & Aging and then Equal Justice Works, at which time they established the Housing Preservation Program, a project that aims to protect homeownership by assisting clients in executing Transfer on Death Instruments (TODIs), claiming property tax exemptions, and resolving other title matters.  Prior to re-joining CDEL, Insalaco spent several years with the Baltimore-based Public Justice Center on the National Coalition for a Civil Right to Counsel (NCCRC) team, where she was Legal Research & Legislative Specialist. 

Insalaco earned a degree in Community Leadership and Civic Engagement from Northern Illinois University and their Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law in 2019. In their free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with their dog.
