Development Assistant

Alyssa York is the Development Assistant at CDEL. She is responsible for establishing and managing new and existing fundraising and marketing initiatives for the organization. This includes assisting in planning of CDEL’s annual Winter Awards Benefit, Giving Tuesday Campaign, and managing CDEL’s donor management platform. Alyssa is also responsible for managing CDEL’s social media, newsletter, and website. She transitioned into this role after completing a year as CDEL’s AmeriCorps Development VISTA.

In December of 2019, Alyssa graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. In her time there, she pursued a double major in Political Science and Management: Organizational Leadership. In her studies, she was a part of the 2018 National Model United Nations delegation from her school that got to attend a conference in New York City. She also participated in a semester-long mentorship with a State Farm executive through the Illinois State University Organizational Leadership Institute that focused on leadership and leadership development.
