American Bar Association Partners with CDEL for POA Workshop

Earlier this month, CDEL held a Power of Attorney workshop together with the American Bar Association (ABA) at Paul Stewart Apartments in the Bronzeville neighborhood. CDEL and our 6 volunteers assisted 12 clients with drafting 24 estate planning documents.

CDEL Staff Spotlight: Lissette Ortegon

We are proud to announce the CDEL Staff Attorney Lissette Ortegon has been appointed a member of the Board of Admissions to the Bar by the Illinois Supreme Court. Congratulations Lissette!

Recently, Lissette also gave an interview on the WBEZ Chicago Say More with Mary Dixon & Patrick Smith radio show on their "What to know about creating a living will" episode! CDEL and our attorneys are always so proud to be able to spread awareness about the importance of living wills and estate planning.

This month, CDEL tabled at the Chicago Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities (MOPD)Thrive Together Mental Health and Wellness Fair at Central West Community Center. The Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities mission is to strive to ensure full participation and equal opportunities in all aspects of life for people with disabilities.
